ICB Illustrator BDB is back, and back with a bang. The latest car to hit chop shop is the 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire which will shed some flab off it’s backside to fit into the compact sedan size of under four meters. Now, shedding flab is always a good thing isn’t it? Our law makers sitting in Delhi think it certainly is and therefore, have made it an exciting proposition for cars to get smaller by endowing duty cuts.

The 2011 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is ezpected to get INR 30,000-40,000 cheaper and we expect even the usually stingy Maruti Suzuki to pass on this savings to the car buyer. Er, do they really have an option, what with the Toyota Etios Sedan breathing down the DZire’s neck.

Amongst pther things, the DZire will get an interior revamp, and a little more spacious on the insides and perhaps even a 90 Bhp VGT Fiat Multijet diesel engine under the hood. Any which ways, here’s hoping that Maruti just about manages not to botch up the already botched up design of the DZire. The 2011 Dzire should be up and ready by August of this year.
