Spied: Tata Winger CNG!

Our friends at GoaOnWheels caught a Tata Winger CNG recently near Pune. The undisguised van did not carry any badges as such apart from a green sticker under the front window. No other exterior changes have been made to the original Winger.

With fuel prices being the grave concern at the moment for businesses and families alike, a CNG powered people carrier seems a good option. The Tata Winger is a hit with call-center transporters to ferry employees. The Winger has also caught the imagination of most tour operators. It can be seen as a good move by Tata Motors as it may well boost sales of the Winger.

With more and more IT and ITES offices coming up in cities, the number of vehicles ferrying employees has increased many fold, thus adding to air pollution. A CNG version of the Winger could become a hit with transport company and will also help reduce diesel fumes in cities.
