Tata Motors has just launched its most powerful hatchback, the Indica Vista D90, in the Nepali car market. The Indica Vista D90 is powered by a diesel engine that’s equipped with a variable geometry equipped turbocharger. The VGT equipped 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet turbo diesel engine outputs 90 Bhp of peak power(giving the car its D90 moniker) and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five speed manual gearbox that drives the front wheels of the hatchback. The car delivers a mileage figure of 21.12 Kmpl under test conditions, a testament to how efficient modern diesels have become. The Tata Indica Vista D90 sits at the very top of the Indica Vista range in terms of the features offered and in terms of the price at which it is positioned.

The Tata Indica Vista D90 in ZX Plus trim is priced at 26.85 lakh Nepali rupees, an amount that translates to 16.95 lakh Indian rupees. For that money, you get the car plus a 2 year/75,000 Kms warranty. The high price of the Vista D90 is due to the fact that the Nepali government levies a hefty import duty on all imported vehicles. For the record, the Vista D90 is exported to Nepal from India through the completely built uni(CBU) route. The car is known for its spaciousness and extensive list of features. With the addition of the more powerful engine, the Vista D90 is a car that offers something for almost everyone. While the power and torque have been boosted to make the Vista D90 a perky hatchback, Tata Motors has left the suspension untouched.
