Our friends at OnCars have managed to get a spyshot of the Tata Indica Vista found testing someplace in India.Tata Motors, famous for sharing parts across their model range, seem to have gone on a borrowing spree from the Tata Manza. So, the Indica Vista Hatchback gets a range of goodies from Manza, on the exteriors. While the Manza looks reasonable from the front and front three quarters, it’s rear is what is a fly in the ointment.

But the Vista, without a boot attached to it like the Manza, is almost the perfect candidate for getting the Manza’s nicer bits. Therefore Tata has endowed the Vista with double barreled headlamps up front, a chromed grille again borrowed from the Manza, chrome embellishments on the fog lamps and a newer looking bumper. So, the Indica Vista now looks like a Manza without a boot. About Manza owners feeling shortchanged now is something that the “Specifications are subject to change without notice” clause will take care of.

Along with these cosmetic upgrades, the Vista also gets alloy wheels from the Manza to add to the pizzaz. All in all, the Vista refresh looks pretty good with nifty bits all around. Oh, and before we forget, the rear doesn’t see too much action apart from some cladding just under the hatch glass which looks quite sporty on the yellow garb the test mule features. Under the hood, we might not see too many changes as the Vista already has two good engines in the form of the 90 Bhp, 1.4 Liter SAFIRE petrol engine and the 90 Bhp, 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet unit.

The interiors though could get a once over to match the competition and if indeed the Vista manages to get the same quality of interiors that the Manza features, it could be a major step ahead. Let’s hope that Tata irons out fit and finish issues in the facelifted Vista, as this car is otherwise quite solid for the money you’re paying.
