Tata Motors has just “officially” launched the most powerful version of the Indica Vista, in the form of the D90 diesel variant. This car’s 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet turbo diesel engine produces a peak power of 90 Bhp while peak torque is rated at 200 Nm, making the Vista D90 one of the most powerful cars in the B+ segment hatchback, next only to the Hyundai i20 Diesel. The engine that the Vista D90 features has been borrowed from the Manza sedan. Power and torque are transmitted to the front wheels of the car through a 5 speed manual gearbox. The Vista D90 is available in 2 variants, VX and ZX. While the VX variant is priced at INR 5.99 lakhs, the ZX trim costs INR 6.83 lakhs. Both prices reflect ex-showroom Delhi figures.

Both the VX and ZX variants of the Vista D90 get a facelift of sorts on the outside, with a new front bumper, a new rear bumper, side skirts and a new roof spoiler. Also, the car gets chrome strips on the front bumper and Vista D90 badging on the boot lid. On the inside, the Manza’s dashboard makes an appearance for the first time, in the Vista. The dashboard’s fit and finish levels, along with beige interiors, endows the Vista D90’s interiors with an airy and premium appeal.
The Vista’s traditional strength of spacious-ness gets a shot in the arm with the beige interiors, which make the insides of the car feel even more spacious by adding to the effect. The Indica Vista D90 is available in five colors, red, white, grey, purple and silver.

The ZX trim of the Vista D90 comes loaded with a touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, automatic climate control, one touch driver’s side power window, follow me home headlamps, ABS, EBD, Airbags and a driver information system on the dashboard. All these features at an ex-showroom price of well under INR 7 lakhs means that the Vista D90 offers the most bang for the buck in the Indian B+ segment hatchback space.
