Here’s something that will bring plenty of cheer amongst all the folks out there who’re planning to own a Tata Nano. Narendra Modi, Gujarat’s Chief Minister, along with Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Group, will formally inaugurate the greenfield Tata Nano manufacturing facility on 2nd June, 2010 at Sanand, Gujarat. While test production of the Tata Nano had commenced way back in January this year, commercial production has been going on for the past one month.

Almost 3,500 Nanos have been produced so far and these cars are going to be formally dispatched for delivery on the 2nd of June, thus marking the inauguration of production formally. This move, we hope, will enable Tata Motors Limited to have a more stringent quality control process as this plant has solely been put together for the Tata Nano.

Also, we’re expecting Tata Motors Limited to re-open bookings for the Tata Nano once the Sanand plant begins operating at full steam. If you’re in the market for a Tata Nano, time to keep your eyes and ears open people. Watch this space.
