Toyota Etios: New Small Car For India in Auto Expo 2010

According To Autocar India, Toyota’s new small car for emerging nations & Indian Market will be called the Etios.
The “Toyota Etios Car concept” will be showcased in Auto Expo 2010 at New Dehli motor show. Toyota Motors India will put the car on display with 13 other concept and production vehicles in this edition of Auto Expo.
The Car is expected to be priced around $10,000 (Rs. 5 Lac). So, the car is going to give a good competition to cars in its range like Hyundai i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift.
The concept is believed to be 90% production ready and will arrive in two versions, hatchback and notchback body styles. The vehicle will offer two engine variants, a 1.4-liter diesel and an 1.2 or 1.3-litre petrol.
The car will be sold not only in India, but also in Russian and South American markets & will be availabe from late 2010.
