New 2011 VW Beetle Spy Pictures

The People’s car is back with a great makeover. The VW Beetle will be seen with a new body modification and is expected to be launched somewhere in 2011.

The Beetle is one of the longest running and most produced vehicles of a single design. VW Beetle’s production started in 1938 and the rest is history. The idea of this masterpiece was given by Adolf Hitler who ordered Ferdinand Porsche to develop a Volkswagen(meaning people’s car) for the people of Germany. Previously the Beetle had a rear wheel drive which was later modified to a front wheel drive model. The Beetle then underwent many technological changes but the design remained the same as it became very popular. In 1994, the Beetle got a facelift with the new design named as Concept 1. The Beetle still had some rear seat space issues.

The new model has an ample amount of rear seat space because of a more angular roof and is also more longer than its predecessor. This successor looks quiet different from its previous versions but has a strong impact.The new baby is expected to be shown in the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show 2010 in November.VW will launch this vehicle with various engine configurations and we expect to get a hybrid version of the same.
