It certainly seems like Volkswagen India is laying it thick and fast. After the Polo Hatchback, the Polo Sedan or Vento, for now, has already hit the production floor with trial production up and running. Now that the trial production has begun, expect a bunch of Volkswagen Ventos scuttling all across the country on testing missions.

What this development also means is that Volkswagen could indeed launch the Vento in a couple of months, right on schedule, and if they get the pricing right, like they have with the Polo Hatchback, the Indian car buyer will have yet another option to choose from in the mid segment sedan space which seems to be slowly but surely getting crowded.

Now, the critical bit of the Volkswagen Vento/Polo Sedan will be it’s pricing and we’re hinging on a INR 7-9 Lakh pricing that will undercut the competition and ensure that the Teutonic Vento grabs a major share of mid size sedan sales.
