Later this year, a sub 4 meter Mahindra Verito compact sedan version could be launched with an attractive price tag!

The Mahindra Verito, which is the re-branded Mahindra Logan could be under four meters in length, thus falling in the compact sedan category. Mahindra also is said to have given the Verito a new grille up front from other minor stylistic changes on the exterior of the car.

Our sources tell us that the Mahindra Verito will also see newer interiors to bring it up to scratch and that the 1.5 Liter DCi Renault turbo Diesel engine will be retained for the Verito as it falls within the 1.5 Liter capacity mandated for excise concessions available for cars under 4 meters in length.

If the Mahindra Verito indeed emerges out to be a compact sedan like our sources would like us to believe, we’re expecting a price cut on the car to make it compete with the likes of the Tata Indigo CS which continues to motor on without any competition.

The Mahindra Verito could be a low cost sedan that might find plenty of buyers as the wide body of the Logan is spacious enough for three adults at the rear and also the fact that the 1.5 Liter common rail diesel engine from Renault is still one of the best units when it comes to frugality and responsiveness without the annoying turbo lag.
