DC Design’s Ying Yang(yuck yuck) Van concept at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo

Ying Yang Front Side

Here is the second design that Dilip Chhabria showcased at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo. Called the Ying-Yang, the van looks like the legendary VW Bus that has been dug out from it’s resting spot and dressed up to face life in the 21st century. While the iconic VW Bus still manages to evoke smiles and warm memories from old timers, the Ying Yang van will give them a mild heart attack.

Designed to be a people mover, the Ying Yang actually looks like a cross between the erstwhile Mahindra Voyager and a high speed Amtrak train. Sorry DC, couldn’t resist this one. This people mover looks more like a bollywood make up van rather than an MPV concept worth a second glance.

C’mon DC, we’ve given you a terrific idea for hard selling this terrible piece of automobile design.

Meanwhile, here’s what the folks at DC Design have to say about the Ying Yang van. As usual, they don’t come anywhere near the subjects of the engine, transmission and the suspension. Simply the reason why we just can’t help but be scathing on such dowdy design concepts.

You obviously need to learn a thing or two about design and aesthetics….. i saw it on the street and it’s everything that DC design philosophy states… “box that could be huggable, cute, simple, retro yet futuristic”….. it’s a path-breaking design…. way better than the DC usuals…. very refreshing…
