Maruti to fix oil leakage in 6,000 Altos
Maruti Suzuki has announced fixing of the 6,000 Altos that are reported to have an oil leakage causing engine starting problem. The cars affected by the problem are the ones produced during the month of April. The company has given orders to its sales network centres and service workshops to check and repair the affected Altos and denied it of being a recall. Read more
Maruti Suzuki Alto K-Series Spotted at the IIMS 2010
Suzuki motors has put on display their latest Indian offering the Alto K-Series at the IIMS 2010 Indonesia. The car has already created a buzz in the Indian auto blogosphere with its spy pics and leaked brochure image. It is expected to go on sale sometime next month in the Indian market.
Company is displaying the car at the show as a prospective launch in the Indonesian market. It is reported to have the same 1.0L engine mated to a CVT transmission for Indonesia while the Indian version will get a 5-speed manual transmission.

Ford plans Next-Gen Focus RS
Amidst all sorts of speculations about what will go under the hood of the new Focus RS, Ford is consider a 2.0lt turbocharged motor with 300+ bhp coupled to electric motors at the rear. In simple terms, the next-gen Focus RS will be a HYBRID! The current RS 500 runs a 345bhp, 2.0lt turbocharged Volvo motor. The new car will have to produce more horses and for that matter, Ford will have to dump the Volvo engine this time around as it is not capable of producing any more power. The engine on the new model will be from Ford’s Ecoboost range of petrols which are kind to the environment. The electric motors and green-engines are all thanks to growing environmental concerns within the industry, said Jost Capito.
France’s answer to the Ford Focus RS: 300bhp Megane
Renault was spotted testing prototypes of the new Megane RS at the Nordschleife. The Megane RS will lock horns with the next generation Focus RS which will replace the current RS. Now, the Megane 250 has been an old rival of the Focus RS even though it a bit down on power. However, the new Megane RS will have a 2.0lt unit which will produce as near as makes no difference 300bhp.

Choosing a BMW SUV as your next school bus has just got harder. BMW executives are reportedly considering building the X4. A cross-over that will slot in between, well, obviously, the X3 and X5. As seen on the latest X3, BMW will probably go the conservative way to design the X4.
