The long awaited Ford-Geely deal is signed now and Chinese auto major Zhejiang Geely Holding Group is the official owner of the Swedish car brand Volvo. The previous owner, American car giant, Ford motor company has inked the deal for $1.8 bn. Read more

Fiat India Not To Hike Prices On Implementation Of BS-IV Norms
Earlier industrial experts articulated that BS-IV norms, effective from 1st April 2010 would shove a revision of prices as carmakers were making significant investments to upgrade engines to make them BS IV compliant and major automakers declared an increase in price by 1 – 3%.
On the other hand, Fiat India declared it has no plans to increase the price at this moment. Read more

Maruti Suzuki India will launch the third generation Wagon R on 15th April, 2010. This upgraded version will have Maruti`s latest 998cc K- series engine, Bharat Stage IV compliant with which develops a maximum of 65 bhp at 6200 rpm.

Fiat’s new Rs. 3.5 lakh small car on its way to India

Tata Nano Car Up In Flames At Mumbai
In a bizarre incident, a brand new Tata Nano spontaneously caught fire belonging to insurance agent Satish Sawant.
Satish had taken delivery of the vehicle from the Tata motors showroom in Prabhadevi, Mumbai and was on his way home with his wife and five-year-old son in their ribbon draped silver Nano. Read more
