Alto K-Series launch on 4th August
Maruti Suzuki has decided to launch their new car Alto K-Series on 4th of August. The car which has been floating around the auto world for quite some time now is finally set to hit the roads. The car is expected to be priced between the current alto’s top variant and Zen estilo’s base variant, which puts it in the price bracket of Rs 2.81 lakh to Rs 3.20 lakh rupees. Read more

2010 Neste Oil Rally Finland, Day 1: Review
The undulating roads of the Finish countryside claimed their first victim on Friday. Unfortunately, it was last years winner Mikko Hirvonen who busted his car during the fourth stage of the day. Hirvonen was leading the rally since morning and had pulled out 4.9secs before crashing out following a heavy landing after a crest. No one was injured in the incident. However, Mikko’s works Ford Focus WRC suffered substantial damage which forced him to retire.
Honda Launches VFR1200F at 17.5 lakh rupees: Specifications and Features
Honda has launched its new sports tourer bike VFR1200F at a price tag of Rs 17.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Powered by a 1237cc V4 engine, the bike is available with both manual and automatic transmission. The V4 engine produces 172 bhp and a torque of 129Nm @ 8,750 rpm and weighs a heavy 267 kgs. The bike will be offered in two colours, Candy Prominence Red & Seal Silver Metallic and the deliveries will start from 3rd week of August. Read more

Audi launched the A7 luxury saloon recently. The A7 is seen as Audi’s answer to the Mercedes CLS and BMW’s 5 GT. However, a new CLS is in the pipeline and soon Mercedes will be back in the race.

Scoop: 2011 BMW M5 spied testing on the ‘Ring’
The long wait is finally over, sort of. The replacement for the current M5 will soon be available in showrooms across the world. Almost as inevitable as it may seem, the M5 follows the current F10 5-Series that was launched a few months back. The first prototypes are already on road as BMW starts testing at the Nurburgring in Germany.
Toyota recalls over 400,000 more cars
The news of three recent accidents involving their cars, Toyota was prompted, yet again to recall 412,000 passenger cars in the US. The recall involves mostly the Avalon model for certain steering issues.
A total of 373,000 Avalons manufactured between the year 2000 and 2004 have been detected with improper casting of the steering lock bar, a component for the steering system causing cracks to develop on the surface. As a result, the lock bar may break in certain cases and cause the steering wheel to lock.
Maruti to fix oil leakage in 6,000 Altos
Maruti Suzuki has announced fixing of the 6,000 Altos that are reported to have an oil leakage causing engine starting problem. The cars affected by the problem are the ones produced during the month of April. The company has given orders to its sales network centres and service workshops to check and repair the affected Altos and denied it of being a recall. Read more
Maruti Suzuki Alto K-Series Spotted at the IIMS 2010
Suzuki motors has put on display their latest Indian offering the Alto K-Series at the IIMS 2010 Indonesia. The car has already created a buzz in the Indian auto blogosphere with its spy pics and leaked brochure image. It is expected to go on sale sometime next month in the Indian market.
Company is displaying the car at the show as a prospective launch in the Indonesian market. It is reported to have the same 1.0L engine mated to a CVT transmission for Indonesia while the Indian version will get a 5-speed manual transmission.
