Vettel wins in Brazil ahead of Mercedes’s Bottas. Kimi Raikkonen finished third and on the podium. Hamilton was a close fourth.
The Formula 1 Brazil Grand Prix had a mix of everything, from drama to emotions. There was the drama in qualifying when Hamilton crashed out and had to start from the back of the grid. This was Massa’s last home grand prix and second last career race.
Ferrari managed to emerge out ahead of Mercedes despite the qualifying victory by Bottas. Hamilton provided some entertainment with his charge from the back till the last lap when he tried to take third from Raikkonen but settled for fourth. Verstappen finished fifth ahead of teammate Ricciardo who also drove a superb recovery drive.
Massa finished as the best of the rest in seventh, after a tough battle for position with Alonso who finished eighth, just ahead of Perez in his Force India. His teammate Ocon had a first lap retirement after colliding with Grosjean, his first career retirement. Hulkenberg took the last points scoring position, finishing the race in 10th.
The next race is in Abu Dhabi and the season ender, fingers crossed for some racing entertainment!
Too lazy to type anything, so re quoting from the best F1 driver in the world:
“On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.”
