Phitesla Radon Digital Speedometer

Speedometer technology has moved on from the somewhat erratic wire and worm layout on older motorcycles to the more accurate magnet based digital speedos. Royal Enfield owners are a lot who wouldn’t want to trade their Bullet’s classic form factor for anything. This made the zany digital speedos almost anathema to the Bulleteers who just didn’t like the digital speedo sticking out of the classic Bullet headlamp casquette like a sore thumb.

Well, all this has changed with the advent of a little firm based out of Bangalore, India. Phitesla Advanced Technologies is the name of the 6 person firm and Radon is the name of the digital speedometer that they are offering, designed specially for the Royal Enfield Bullet.

The Radon will display the speed, engine rpm, oil temperature, battery voltage and even the rpm at when you need to shift to the next higher gear. Yes, the Radon comes with the shift rpm indicator too, one which can be programmed by the rider for a rider specific rpm range.

The best part of the Radon is that it will fit flush in the cavity that houses the original speedometer on Royal Enfield Bullets. Thus, form won’t be compromised for function even as the rider gets accuracy and plenty of other nifty features in the bargain.

So I too have a diesel enfield with an air cooled winsun diesel. When you say the rpm might not work with a diesel what are the determining factors for this? Can I rig something to make it work? That might be my determining factor in buying this product
