Ever since the 2011 Honda CBR250R was launched late last year in Thailand, it was just a matter of time before after market tuning firms developed performance boosting systems for the CBR250R. More so, since the CBR250R is a global motorcycle that will be sold in most of Honda’s markets. The first few performance bump up part for the 2011 Honda CBR250R from a reputed tuning firm is here with TwoBrothers Racing’s V.A.L.E M2 slip On race exhaust system now available for purchase.

The racing exhaust developed by TwoBrothers promises a 6% bump up in peak power over a stock Honda CBR250R and has a dyno chart to accompany the claim.  Also, you get to keep the O2 sensor on your CBR250R with the M2 Slip On as the racing exhaust includes only the muffler and not the entire exhaust system with the header. From the dyno chart we have here, the M2 Slip On Racing Exhaust clearly demonstrates more power and torque across the rev range. Peak power has gone up by 1.43 Bhp with peak torque up by 0.82 Nm.

Numbers apart, the torque boost in particular is strong at the lower end of the rev spectrum and this performance part will be loved by those who particularly find the CBR250R a little too revvy to be fun in the city. So, with the TwoBros M2 Slip On System, expect better performance and rideability all throughout the rev range. Also, a minor improvement in acceleration numbers could be expected along with small gains in the top speed too. The best part of the exhaust however, is the transformation in the puny exhaust note of the CBR250R to a grunty wail.

This, as the V.A.L.E M2 Slip-On exhaust is almost 10 pounds lighter than the stock system due to it dumping the catalytic converter. So, you get a lighter and more powerful motorcycle which most certainly will lead to improvement in performance numbers. The exhaust however is quite pricey, starting at $419 all the way up to $560.  Factor in import duties plus shipping and you’d be staring at a good INR 25 thousand plus for the slip-on exhaust which makes it too pricey for the performance gain it offers. You can buy one of these here. Meanwhile, here’s a little video of the V.A.L.E M2 exhaust in action.
