Bajaj Auto seems to be confused as to what the consumers expect from their Discover. Earlier, the bike has had a 100cc engine for the frugal minded. Then, a 135 cc Discover came along with some boost in power and a lower fuel economy. Bajaj was not yet done with the Discover and soon brought out a 125cc version. The company went to great lengths with the Discover in its lifetime which also saw a 143cc engine shoved in between the frame.

Now, there is one more version of the good-old Discover that will be launched by the end of this month. This time, its a 125 cc DTS-i engine that will be on offer. The new bike is set for a launch on March 31, 2011. Bajaj Auto is still proabably not sure where to position the bike in the Indian market. With competitive products from Honda, who are offering far better quality compared to the Indian manufacturer, sales of the lower end, economical commuter bikes are getting affected.

With the new bike, Bajaj will offer features that will set it apart from the competition, the Hero Honda Splendor and the Honda Shine being the main rivals. The Discover 125 DTS-i will be positioned as a sporty commuter bike as opposed to what Hero Honda and Honda are offering. The new bike is set to be a major volumes driver for Bajaj Auto in the days to come.

I never saw this bike in Maharashtra. Does this bike really launch in Maharashtra. If yes pls mention the dealers in Mumbai. I like this bike and to buy it. Also tell me more about this bike i.e. color, price, technical specs etc.
