Bajaj Auto releases studio shots of the all new 2012 Pulsar 200 NS motorcycle!

Bajaj Auto has just released three gorgeous studio shots of the recently unveiled all new 2012 Pulsar 200 NS, a motorcycle which has a lot riding on it for its maker. While Bajaj plans to sell 2000 units of the KTM Duke 200 every month, that figure could easily be thrice as that for the new Pulsar 200 NS, a motorcycle that has raised the bar quite comprehensively. The Pulsar 200 NS, in essence is a motorcycle that has almost everything that was on the wish list of Pulsar fans, a rare feat that very few motorcycle makers actually deliver, more so in India, a land of incremental motorcycling.

Coming to think of it, Bajaj Auto has had almost every sphere covered with the all new Pulsar 200 NS. First of all, the old Pulsars weren’t exactly the best handlers in town, although he latest versions are a huge improvement over the first gen versions. To address this, Bajaj has a perimeter frame underpinning the Pulsar 200 NS with a monoshock rear. Secondly, the old Pulsar’s styling was getting dated as years passed on. The 2012 Pulsar NS comes with a radical street fighter design that looks ravishing from almost every angle.

Coming to the hart of the matter, the engine, Bajaj has given the Pulsar 200 NS a four valve head, liquid cooling and a six speed gearbox, all items that Pulsar owners had been hoping and praying for all along. While fuel injection is glaringly absent with the Pulsar 200 NS having to make do with a carburetor, this move it seems has been dictated by the need to clearly differentiate the Duke 200 and the Pulsar 200. All in all, the Pulsar 200 NS seems like a potent combination, a wet dream of Pulsar enthusiasts, a motorcycle that is set to be unleashed in India come April 2012, at a price well below INR 1 lakh.
