Bajaj Discover’s latest avatar: 150cc version in the offing

It was just last week when we berated Bajaj Auto for a total lack of product differentiation and here we are, back at square one.

Bajaj Auto seems hell bent on confusing Indian motorcycle buyers and to continue in that direction or do we call it the lack of direction, the Bajaj Discover is all set to get a 150cc four stroke engine.

Eons ago, there was some talk about Bajaj developing a two stroke 150cc, direct injection engine for the Bajaj Discover.

This plan, obviously seems to be shelved indefinitely for reasons best known to Bajaj. Meanwhile, the Bajaj Discover 150 is set to sit beneath the 150cc Pulsar and will try to find homes among the semi urban and rural buyers, who usually prefer value for money over all else.

Only the future will determine the ramifications of this latest move from Bajaj Auto Limited and whether the consumers accept the 150cc version of the Discover or whether they give it the cold shoulder, just like they did in case if the 135cc Discover.
