Bajaj launches the KTM Duke 200 at a killer introductory price of INR 1.17 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi!

Bajaj Auto Limited has launched the KTM Duke 200 in India at a killer introductory price of INR 1,17,500, ex-showroom Delhi. This terrific pricing, albeit an introductory one has Bajaj and value-for-money written all over it.The KTM Duke 200, assembled at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant is a motorcycle designed and developed by both Bajaj Auto and an Austrian motorcycle brand, KTM, a firm in which Bajaj holds a 40% stake in. The KTM Duke 200 will also be launched in other developing countries like Malaysia and Brazil very soon.

The KTM Duke 200′s design harks to the minimalist school of design where there is very little bodywork, keeping the engine and frame as major design elements. The naked-ness and minimalism of the whole motorcycle endows the design with a purity and a solid industrial appeal that sets new standards for the Indian motorcycle industry. It would be interesting to see how buyers react to the KTM Duke 200 once this motorcycle becomes available in showrooms all over India.

The KTM Duke 200 features a 200cc liquid cooled engine featuring four valves per cylinder and a DOHC layout. The KTM Duke 200 outputs a peak power of 25 Bhp and peak torque of 19 Nm. This engine is mated to a six speed manual transmission which is geared short, for maximum acceleration, in keeping with the street fighter design of this motorcycle The Duke 200 is the first sub 2 Lakh rupee Indian made motorcycle to feature upside down front forks, a stand out feature of this motorcycle.

Bookings for the KTM Duke 200 begin right away and you can head to your nearest ProBiking showroom, which recently has been done up with orange KTM livery, to book yours. The KTM Duke 200 will also be on display at all the 34 Probiking showrooms across the country very soon, for prospective buyers to have a look and feel of this motorcycle.
