Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi ‘S’: Cheaper, unfaired version of the Bajaj Pulsar in the offing

The Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i managed to bag the fastest Indian motorcycle status by virtue of it’s extra tall gearing and decent performance, pun certainly intended. Not content with just the tag of the fastest Indian motorcycle, Bajaj Auto wants to sell more Bajaj Pulsar 220s to the masses. For this, Bajaj Auto will strip the existing Pulsar 220 of it’s bulky, somewhat ugly fairing and replace it with something similar to that adorning the erstwhile Pulsar 200.

While the newer fairing would make the Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i lighter and smarter, it will also enable Bajaj Auto cut prices of the Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i by about four to six thousand rupees. So, you could ride out with an unfaired Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i for about INR 75,000 which certainly looks like a terrific value for money.

Apart from the price, the unfaired or minimally faired Pulsar 220 DTS-i will be a few kilos lighter which could result in a marginal boost in acceleration.

Stick around for updates here !!
