Bajaj’s 250 parallel twin could be a year away

A while ago, the Indian blogosphere was abuzz about Bajaj Auto Limited developing a 250cc parallel twin. Now, the folks at Motoroids say that the 250cc parallel twin is definitely in, but could take almost a year to go into serial production.
As of now, the engine and chassis is out for testing while other components like the tyres and cosmetics are still under development. Knowing Bajaj(remember the Pulsar 220), we can safely expect to wait more than a year for the 250 Twin, as a twin cylinder engine is completely uncharted territory for them.
This news obviously will dampen the spirits of motorcycle enthusiasts quite a bit. The wait for a affordable 250cc twin just got a little longer.
