BMW Motorrad aims to sell 50 premium bikes by year end

BMW bikes arrived in India 3 months back. Since then, dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi are being selling these premium, high capacity bikes. These bikes are being imported directly by Navnit Motors and Deutsche Motoren and cost between Rs 18-25 lakh.

In all six models are on offer in the country ranging from R1200R, S1000RR, R1200GS, K1300, K1600GTL and HP2. However, the S1000RR and R1200GS have caught the most attention and are the best sellers as of now. BMW Motorrad has already sold 23 bikes uptill now and is aiming to reach the figure of 50 by the end of this year.

Navnit Motors’ Managing Director, Sharad Kachalia as said, “We have already sold 23 bikes so far and our target is to sell 50 bikes by December 2011.”

“All our models have a good demand but our two models — S1000 RR and R1200 GS — are witnessing a greater demand. We have six models and all bikes are above 1,000 cc and in the price range Rs 18-25-lakh,” he added.
