Overnight, the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo turned Pragati Maidan into a Mecca for the Indian auto enthusiast. If you are a fan of Harley Davidson, now is your chance to see the best of the custom bikes from the iconic American brand under one roof. So, we’d suggest you to head to Pragati Maidan without wasting anymore time. That said, there’s a mad rush at the venue and jostling through the crowd to catch a glimpse of your favorite chrome laden Harleys won’t be an issue if you are a true fan of the brand.

Harley Davidson Custom Bobber

Having said that, here is a low down on what’s in store for you at the Harley Davidson stands. Two of the custom bikes on display come from the Dyna family. The Custom Bobber is based on the modern FXDC Dyna Super Glide. Harley Davidson enthusiasts love chrome and the Custom Bobber has a lot of that shiny stuff to offer. A bullet headlight, street slammer handlebars, switchblade custom wheels and custom chrome front fork end kit give the machine a dynamic look, something all riders look for in a bike. A Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle performance kit has also been added to take things to an all new level.

Harley Davidson Edge Cut Chopper

The ‘Edge Cut Chopper’ is based on the FXDB Dyna Street Bob which is considered to be one of the perfect cruising bikes the company makes. What sets this bike apart from the standard version is the detailed paint job dubbed ‘Devils Infantry’. It includes orange flames set on a deep black background and a pair of intimidating skulls on either side of the fuel tank. Regular wheels have been replaced with Magnum custom wheels that add to the menacing look. As a performance enhancement, a Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle exhaust with a buckshot shield kit has also been added to the bike.

A custom bike from the Softail family that is on display at the show is the ‘Big Twin Custom’. This bike has been garnished with chrome with a custom paint job with contrasting black whereas the custom chrome narrow beach handlebars, swing arms, and front forks to add to its look. Lay back number plate, foot peg, shifter pegs and passenger peg along with tear drop mirrors are some of the other defining features on the bike.

Harley Davidson Dark Custom

The Harley Davidson XL883 N Iron 883TM does not need the shiny chrome accents to make its presence felt. This bike is all about the dark night. The matte black paint job does go well with the black wheels and the black mirrors. “Dark Custom” derby cover, timer cover and fuel tank cover along with “Diamond Black” shifter pegs, hand grips and foot pegs add to the theme of the bike.  Custom straight handle bars, side mounted number plates, LED head lamps, Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle® exhaust with a buckshot shield kit and black anodized air cleaner covers have been added so that it won’t go unnoticed.

Harley Davidson Retro Machine

Finally, the XL 1200X Forty-EightTM is the bike with a retro appeal. The bespoke custom bike dubbed ‘Retro Machine’ is all about attitude than styling. The stock fuel tank on the bike has been replaced with a spectrum metal flake “Big Bass” gold tank.  The ‘Old School’ looks are further accentuated by the ‘Live to Ride, Ride to Live’ decals on the hand grip, derby cover, timer cover, fuel caps, brake calipers, “Diamond Black” shifter peg and foot pegs. The Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle exhaust with the buckshot shield kit, and Screaming Eagle heavy breather kit are finished in matte black which also add to the retro looks.
