Honda VFR1200F Sports Tourer In India By 2010 / 2011

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters(HMSI) India might bring its ‘sports tourer’ VFR1200F in India by 2010-11.

The Bike could be priced in the range of Rs. 30-50 lakhs though there is no official word out on all these details as no company spokesperson was available to comment on this development.

Honda VFR1200F is a sport touring motorcycle that was earlier announced by Honda company in the year 2009. It was first showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The Motorcycle features a 1,237cc V4 liquid cooled engine which produces 172 bhp at 10,000 RPM.  Maximum torque delivered by bike is 129 NM at 8750 RPM.  The weight of Honda VFR 1200 F is 267 kilograms.  The Bike offers either a dual clutch automatic transmission or a slipper clutch enabled standard transmission.

Honda’s V-4 legacy has taken a step ahead in the VFR1200F model. The bike has an incredible innovative design and advanced technology features.

As per Honda, “The VFR1200F has been developed in keeping with previous VFRs; that have delivered a combination of sports and touring capabilities using the latest technologies. This motorcycle is however brand new: A clean-sheet interpretation of the ultimate road-sport machine – a concept driven by extensive understanding of customer needs and the adoption of state-of-the-art technologies. “
