A while ago, we carried a story about Mumbai based Indian ECU remapping firm, Kiirus AutoSports, being the first ECU remapping firm to remap the ECU of the recently launched KTM Duke 200. The remapped Duke 200 is said to be much faster than the stock version due to the rev limiter being removed. Click here to read that story. Coming to the other product that Kiirus has now developed, the tuning outfit has come up with a remap solution for the 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250R sportsbike, which is by far the best 250cc motorcycle that money can buy in India.

The Ninja 250R, being a much better performer than the other 250cc offering in the country, the Honda CBR250R. The high price of the Ninja 250R though is the biggest detractor and if you can afford it, then well, the Ninja is heads and shoulders above the Honda CBR250R. The main reason for the Ninja 250R’s high price is the fact that it is imported from Thailand through the completely knocked down route and then assembled at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant. Anyway, moving on to the Ninja 250R remap solution by Kiirus AutoSports, the remap is said to boost power of the Ninja 250R to upto 36 Bhp.

Also, Kiirus claim that the Indian 2012 Ninja 250Rs ECU is different from the European models. Apart from the boost in power, the Ninja 250R also benefits from a higher rev limit than the stock motorcycle’s limit. Also, Kiirus Autosports claim that the ECU remap has solved the issue of overheating in slow moving traffic conditions. The ECU remap has been performed on a motorcycle at Mizoram, India and Kiirus is looking forward to remap many more Ninja 250Rs in the near future. The Kiirus remap solution for the Ninja 250R is priced at INR 20,000. To order contact +91-9594060920, or email info(at)kiirus(dot)in.
