What happened to the Diablo and Cevalo?

Wasn’t ICB making claims that the Diablo and Cevalo would be in India.

  2. Sans on September 29th, 2010 11:41 pm

Great initiative by ICB guys on educating us.
Any new on its launch date ?

  3. admin on September 30th, 2010 12:18 am

    @ Payeng:

We have high regards for you but we take our work very seriously & don’t like anyone talking in this tone. We would also have appreciated if you could understand that Diablo & Cevalo were “Speculations”. We never said that is definitely going to happen.

We like to share with our audience all kinds of news & rumors which we hear or come across and there are certain things like this M&M Bikes launch that was kept under the wraps from day 1. So, there were bound to be some things that might / might not happen !

By the way, you did not comment on the M&M 300cc sketch which was produced by our team: http://www.indiancarsbikes.in/motorcycles/mahindra-diablo-300-bike-photo-picture-sketch-image-india-19643/
Did you not like that ?

You might now know but we received an “Appreciation Call” from the Mahindra team & it was conveyed to me that Mr. Mahindra himself like Bhakta’s sketch as it was the closest one could get to visualize this 300cc bike model. Go n compare our sketch & the Mojo.

Pls try looking towards the “Glass is half full” side too.

See you tomorrow @ launch in Mumbai !

    Sudhir,

Hehe. First they ignore us. Then they abuse us. Finally they will follow us.

    Payeng,

You did your darndest best to get me infracted for sharing information that icb published. Didn’t work, did it? Anyways, you’d be better off trying to post better stuff on one of the better auto blogs in india, bikechronicles rather than indulging in silly sarcasm.

    Cheers,

    Jay

I somehow wish if the head light could be Round in shape….
and for people who do not know about ICB,Dn’t worry bout them.
I know the hard work you guys put in each and every detail on this sector.
For me your half glass is equivalent to a full glass.
Sorry,I am not good in framing flowery sentences…

We have the functionality to track the IP’s from where the comment appear :

Here are the two IP Addresses:

But unfortunately, both these IP Addresses are coming from the same location.

Do we need to say anything more  ?

“Here is ICB, yet again, bringing to you the first ever view of the upcoming 300cc bike from Mahindra 2 wheelers.”

All this was already there on the Mahindra website :P Just copying pics from their website and watermarking it with your own logo- doesn’t look good to say the least!

  11. admin on September 30th, 2010 1:19 pm

    Mr.Deepak Dongre,

OK. do this. Go to Mahindra 2 Wheelers website now and see if you could find these pictures & details. There is a 100% chance that you won’t find it now as it was there for a short duration(might be by mistake)& the website is down now.

I will give you an analogy to help you understand the logic here i.e food for thought :watermelon:

America :flagus: was already there but it was Columbus who discovered it first and then the whole wide world came to know. We never claimed that these are our pics. We took these from Mahindra Website & we had given the source but now it is not working. So, no point keeping it.

We just said that we are the first one to showcase this. What harm has this done to you or to someone else :-) ?

    Just chill 8-) !

  12. wat-is-this on September 30th, 2010 2:10 pm

    lets focus on bikes…

  13. Hemant on September 30th, 2010 2:33 pm

Mojo looks stunning. Mahindra is know for it’s R&D & value for money. The bike must have gone through lot of R&D. This is only the bike in India in 300 cc segment. This bike has upside telescopic fork, liquid cooled engine & looks macho. I am confident this bike will rock.

    I luv this ship!

  16. Deepak Dongre on October 5th, 2010 3:53 pm

It hasn’t done any harm to me or for that matter anyone else. Watermarking someone else’s property- you think its fine? Even if it doesn’t make a difference. I know the site was up for a few while and even I have downloaded the pictures and uploaded them too on automobile forums with due reference from the original source. It would have been so easy to just watermark my name and post- what if it doesn’t make a difference. Its too small of a matter, but then there is some called courtesy.

Well you can continue doing this saying we’re the first to bring you this and watermarking pics from some different source- and doesn’t make any difference.

  17. Mayank on October 5th, 2010 4:12 pm

Launch was at jayPee Palace Agra for Mojo and Stallio.
Launch was not a big event. Dealers were expacting Amir Khan, Kareena Kapoor as they are brand ambassdors. Even we were expacting Mr. Anand mahindra but unfortunately no were present.

  18. Hemant on October 5th, 2010 5:12 pm

Now mahindra should gear up to start a moto-cross racing team of its own like TVS racing & show the entire bikers the power of their machine.

  19. Hemant on October 5th, 2010 5:24 pm

I want to know from ICB regarding TVS racing bikes, which are manufactured with collaboration & technology support from Italy & are used only for their racing team.

Please let me know their bikes specifications. can

  20. admin on October 5th, 2010 5:28 pm

    Mr.Deepak Dongre,

    First tell me ->
Are you from Mahindra Two Wheelers or do these pics relate to you ? The answer will be an emphatic NO. If they don’t have any problem then why don’t you pursue something more meaningful.

If you want to show “courtesy”, then go ahead & do it. We have our own style of working. Just check out few other articles in the blog. Our audience & readers know that we always include “Credit” or “Source” of that story. You have just picked up this post and started to build castles in the air. We did not find it very important in this case as the website was down at that time.

Everyone here knows that these belong to Mahindra obviously. Watermarking is just to remind that you are seeing these pics on ICB.

See a couple of blogs around and you will understand this fact. If you want, I can share few links with you.

  21. admin on October 5th, 2010 5:36 pm

    Mr. Deepak Dongre,

I just checked Mahindra Two Wheelers Website and it is still down.

Anyways, as this issue is bothering you so much & as you have become one of our readers I have included credit to Mahindra’s website though it does not make any sense as the user can’t see anything over there.

We don’t like disappointing our audience  & I hope this will help in soothing you

  22. Deepak Dongre on October 5th, 2010 6:11 pm

First of all thanks a lot for allowing my comment to be posted- that shows transparency. I never knew about the blog- one of the groupies from a forum posted this and that is what diverted me here. Am not here to fire you guys or as mentioned build castles in the air. I found the blog pretty impressive- I started logging onto it after I saw the Mojo post. Not for the sake of argument- but on your statement that you watermarked it so that I know am seeing it on ICB. I guess I log onto ICB first and the pics load rather than vice versa. I’ve never went through ICB initially and didn’t know about you mentioning the source (it’d be the case with any newcomer). I feel you guys got too aggressive on that.

Anyways in the end and all arguments apart- I’ve now become a regular at ICB.

I wish , Mahindra could have done something with handle bar of MOZO. Such an elegant sport bike but w/o split handle bar. Folks if you have done such a good job at such a reasonable price, plz try to do some thing with handle Bar of this BIKE & I am pretty confident BIKE WILL GET MUCH BETTER LOOK LIKE A SPORTSTER.If You can replace footrest from rubberized one to metallic one again it’ll be inch closer to sports monster.
ANYONE WHO CAN COMMENT ON TOP SPEED OF THIS BIKE.

  35. Sanjeeb on January 10th, 2011 7:13 pm

Guys I was just going through the posts and I came across that you guys were throwing stones at each other during the launch. I dint understand the necessity of doing that coz the launch of Mojo is the coolest thing ever happend in Indian motorcycle history. So lets just admire that god damn devils ride and hope we can loot one soon. Who cares who is first one to get picture and I would request ICB team to ignore any kind of silly kiddish comment and keep up the good work. You guys rock….

  36. Deepak Dongre on March 19th, 2011 12:30 pm

    Hi Sanjeeb,

Silly kiddish…yeah they might be in your dictionary. But if you get more serious and think in professional terms- you’ll realise that watermarking simply means claiming ownership. I wish you were a professional clicker who does all the hardwork and one day you realise that someone is using your pics and putting his own watermarks. Anyways this was clarified with ICB- and you felt the need to post your own views after two months of clarification. Thanks!

And the Mojo is not the coolest thing anymore..heck no signs of it yet.
