The Mahindra Stallio 110 was a motorcycle that was to be Mahindra Two Wheelers’ breadwinner and volumes puller as the motorcycle was positioned in the high volume commuter motorcycle segment of the Indian motorcycle market. Gearbox gremlins though, forced Mahindra to pull out the Stallio 110 off showroom shelves earlier this year in February, even as Mahindra group firm Engines Engineering went about devising a fix for the Stallio’s woeful gearbox.

Finally, the gearbox issues seem to have been been sorted out by Mahindra and the firm plans to relaunch the Stallio sometime in November. Soon, Mahindra Two Wheelers will be back to business in the executive commuter segment with the 110cc four stroke engined Stallio. But what most prospective premium motorcycle buyers will be itching to know is when Mahindra plans to roll out the 292cc Mahindra Mojo motorcycle, one which it launched with much fanfare.

Many prospective buyers have almost forgotten about this motorcycle, which seems like yet another project that may never see the light of the day. The Mahindra Mojo 300 motorcycle was an eagerly awaited motorcycle as it promised quite a lot, from a 292cc, four stroke, liquid cooled, DOHC, four valve, single cylinder engine to an Italian bred chassis. The engine that was touted to deliver about 26 Bhp of peak power and 24 Nm of peak torque was to become one of the most powerful Indian motorcycles.

Now though, the folks at Mahindra Two Wheelers are not able to specify a time line for the launch of this motorcycle, which actually was scheduled to be launched sometime during the Indian festive season which will kick off in another month. Tired of waiting, buyers would simply gravitate to other brands as the premium motorcycle segment of the Indian motorcycle market is seeing a lot of action with the KTM Duke 200 and re-engineered Bajaj Pulsars all set to be launched shortly.
