While TVS Motor Company didn’t have any new launches lined up at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo, they managed to garner plenty of eyeballs with a bevy of oh-so-hot-and-sexy beauties posing on their motorcycles and scooters. TVS showcased their entire range of products that included the recently launched automatic clutch motorcycle, TVS Jive and their new twist-and-go scooter, the TVS Wego. While, the TVS Apache 200/220 was eagerly anticipated, TVS didn’t give us a glimpse of either. Instead they gave us plenty of other eye candy like the TVS Apache RTR Motocrosser and the half faired Apache race edition. Both these motorcycles won’t be launched in the market as they are meant only for the race and the dirt tracks. The TVS Hammerhead ATV was drool worthy while the TVS QUBE hybrid scooter was well worth a second glance too. The TVS QUBE hybrid runs a electric motor supplementing the four stroke engine it has borrowed from the TVS Pep Scooty.

This combination of the petrol engine and the electric motor gives the QUBE it’s hybrid credentials. TVS might go ahead and launch the QUBE sometime in 2010 even though they haven’t given any time frame for the QUBE’s launch.

Our speculation is mainly based on the fact that hybrid two wheelers will soon become a distinct reality in the Indian two wheeler market, what with the fuel prices going through the roof and the pollution levels causing our planet to seethe and boil.
