TVS Motors to relaunch the Victor in December 2012 along with a 125cc motorcycle which will arrive in June!

Earlier in the day, we brought you a story of TVS Motors concentrating more on the high volume bread and butter segment of the Indian motorcycle market. In line with that, the Indian two and three wheeler maker will relaunch the TVS Victor in the market. The original TVS Victor was a runaway success for TVS Motors and was promoted by none other than the Indian cricketing great, Sachin Tendulkar, with the more smiles per mile marketing campaign.

Back in its day, the TVS Victor was a path breaker of sorts, with the motorcycle featuring a 110cc four stroke engine even as the competition predominantly offered 100cc engines. This significant step of the Victor saw the spawning of the 110cc executive commuter segment in the Indian motorcycle market. The Victor also featured a dual map ignition with curves both for power as well as economy modes and a box section swing arm, another first in its class for better handling and road holding.

The Victor 125, albeit a less successful model followed, a motorcycle that somehow couldn’t capitalize on the Victor 110′s roaring success. Now that TVS is planning to revive the Victor brand in 2012, the dual ignition map will also be offered on the all new TVS Victor, which will be launched in December 2012. During its second coming, the TVS Victor will sit in the executive commuter segment, the same space it previously occupied.

Coming to the other motorcycle TVS Motors will launch, the company has announced that this motorcycle will be segmented into an all new brand but will sit in the 125cc executive commuter motorcycle space. A 125cc four stroke engine is what will power this motorcycle, which will feature a 4 speed manual gearbox. From the specifications, it seems that TVS will price this motorcycle quite competitively. June 2012 is when this 125cc motorcycle will be launched in India.
