Yamaha R15 owners now have an internationally renowned exhaust maker peddling wares, specially for the R15. TwoBrothers are now manufacturing a custom freeflow exhaust for the R15. Why go free flow? The free flow helps the engine breathe better, thus liberating more power and torque across the rev range. The muffler features technology called the V.A.L.E. inlet design which eliminates the use of springs and creates an adjustable mount that is solid when fixed in place. The free flow exhaust muffler is a direct bolt on which eliminates any need for modification of the stock system. The free flow muffler has been tested by the folks at BikeIndia who have reported quicker nought to hundred times to the tune of almost two seconds. Also, the free flow muffler equipped R15 exhibited a stronger mid range with power kicking in from 5000rpm as opposed to 6000+ rpm on the bone stock R15.

All this means punchier low and mid range performance, an area in which the bone stock R15 was always found wanting. The entry level muffler is priced at around INR19,990, which certainly makes it an expensive proposition given the modest performance gains. You even have more expensive versions built out of exotic materials like  titanium and carbon fiber. That said, well heeled enthusiasts won’t bother much with the price tag as they get to the intoxicating exhaust every time they give the throttle a twist.
