Youtube Blooper: Yamaha Brand ambassador John Abraham calls the V-Max a V-Twin

YouTube Preview Image

When you endorse a motorcycle brand, it is only fitting that you know your wheel from your saddle. This, somehow doesn’t seem to be the case with John Abraham, a proclaimed dyed-in-the-wool biker and Yamaha India’s brand ambassador. In this video, John Abraham goes to the ridiculous extent of calling the monster of a machine, the Yamaha V-MAX a V-Twin, thus committing sacrilege of the greatest kind a motorcyclist could commit.

Yamaha V-MAX

Yamaha V-MAX

For folks in the dark about what the Yamaha V-MAX is all about, it is a muscle bike from the Yamaha stable that features a brutal 1,679cc V4 engine putting out about 153 NM of continental shelf splitting meat. And you can buy one right here in India if you can afford it’s stratospheric INR 20 Lakh price tag. Meanwhile, it looks like it is time for Yamaha India to ingrain some motorcycling knowledge into this apparently “hard core” biker brand ambassador of theirs. We can only sigh!

    Tushal,

How can four cylinders in a V configuration be called a V-Twin?

    Cheers,

    Jay

    Jay,

    Check out Yam’s website: http://www.yamaha-motor-india.com/product/vmax/specs.html

even they call it V-Twin. Each of those may have two cylinders, but still its a V-Twin config.
