2010 Rally Bulgaria: Citroen 1-2-3-4
Champagne flows for Loeb and Daniel Elena
Sebastien Loeb does it again. Loeb sealed victory at Rally Bulgaria on the final day. Victory in round 7 of the 2010 season of the World Rally Championship takes him one step closer to yet another World Championship crown. Loeb extends his lead over his rivals. Rally Bulgaria will go down in the history books as one of the best for Citroen after their record breaking 1-2-3-4 finish on Sunday.

After a wonderful day 2 result for Peter Solberg, he could not pass Dani Sordo on day3 which meant he had to settle for 3rd. At the end of the day he was 6.8sec behind Sordo’s C4 WRC. Sebastien Ogier recovered from his day 1 excursion and finished 4th overall. The next three spots were secured by the Ford drivers. Hirvonen stayed in 5th followed by Latvala and P-G Andersson.

Loeb now moves to 151 points and leads the championship by 51 points over Sebastien Ogier. With six round remaining, Citroen leads the constructors championship by 47 points from Ford. Peter Solberg was very impressed by his performance in his Citroen C4 WRC. “When we started the rally, both myself and Chris were quite nervous,” he said. “But I have to say he did an excellent job.” said the Norwegian.
“We have to keep working hard to improve,” concluded Hirvonen. “We just tested a few things for future rallies today. I think we learned something that will help on the remaining asphalt rallies.”
