Casey Stoner heading to HRC Honda for 2011 MotoGP Season ?

More than a few eyebrows were raised when former Ducatista Livio Suppo quit Ducati MotoGP to head to Honda Racing Corporation. Fast forward one year. Now, more than a few tongues are wagging as Liivo Suppo, now the race director at HRC, seems to have had a word with Ducati Ace Rider and former MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner and his dad/manager Colin Stoner, during testing at Jerez.

Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Dani Pedrosa‘s contract will come for renewal in 2011. Dani Pedrosa himself hasn’t been too pleased with the way the Repsol Honda 211V is performing and has been pretty vocal about his dislikes.

This might not go too well with the powers to be at HRC and might just prove to be the tipping point with HRC giving Spaniard Dani Pedrosa the dump.

If that happens and Casey Stoner comes aboard, Spanish Repsol might not be too happy as they have always favored at least one Spanish rider on the Repsol Hondas. All said, we’re relishing the prospect of this switch happening and for our part, we’d love to see Italian speed king Valentino Rossi moving to Ducati along with sponsor Fiat.

What a dream team that would be for the Italians to go Forza over Rossi, Ducati and Fiat, all in a single dream team.
