Formula 1 2010: Alonso takes 2nd pole of the season at Singapore GP F1 & beats Vettel
2010 Singapore GP- Alonso, Vettel and Hamilton
Fernando Alonso secured his second pole of the 2010 season at the Singapore street circuit under the lights. Amidst fears of rain and extreme humidity, Alonso pipped Vettel to take pole. Hamilton was just shy of Vettel’s time by 0.1sec which put him in third.

Webber and Button struggled throughout the session. The McLaren finally was able to get passed Webber into fourth. Felipe Massa had a rough evening when his engine malfunctioned and saw him stranded in a very precarious spot. This prompted the race officials to stop the session. Massa will now start from the back of the grid.

Rubens Barrichello put up an impressive performance to qualify sixth in his Williams. Nico Rosberg, Kubica and Shumacher followed while Kobayashi rounded out the top 10.

2010 Singapore GP- Jenson Button pipped Webber to secure fourth
Vitaly Petrov slapped his right tyre against the wall resulting into a broken suspension. He had qualified 13th. Nick Heidfeld returned to Formula 1 to stand for Pedro de la Rosa in the Sauber. He could only manage a 15th fastest time.
Both the Force India’s looked quite off-pace and struggled to keep up with the established lot.
