Hispania Racing Team to miss final Formula 1 testing at Barcelona?

The Hispania Racing Team might miss out on the final testing at Barcelona this weekend. The teams equipment has yet to clear through customs which is taking a bit of a delay. The team debuted its F111 Formula 1 race car for this season at the track but could not get on with the testing as the dampers were yet had to clear through customs.

Still, at least Narain Karthikeyan and Antonio Luizzi have had a bit of testing time under their belt at the first session. Teams are concentrating more this time on testing since the cars will run on Pirelli rubber this time around which has different consistency compared to the Bridgestones of last year. The team still hopes they could at least continue with testing tomorrow, the last day of this years testing session.

Team boss Colin Kolles said: “Unfortunately we could not get the dampers out of customs. The result of this is that we can’t run tomorrow. This is life and we will overcome this problem.”
