Kimi Raikkonen’s Nascar Connection!

If it moves, Kimi Raikkonen seem to want to be racing it. Right from snow mobiles to WRC rally cars, the former F1 champion, Kimi Raikkonen has been involved in a plethora of motorsports and now, it appears that the American Oval Racing spectacle, popularly known as the NASCAR series, is Kimi’s latest calling. Kimi, according to his agent David Robertson, is is talks with a NASCAR team to race for them in the 2011 Season.

While other details still remain sketchy at the moment, the rumor mills are working overtime to suggest that the 31 year old Finnish motorsport legend will indeed begin driving in the NASCAR series for the new ICE-1 Racing Team Team by beginning in the Truck series before moving on to the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series.

So, if that indeed happens, then we could see Kimi joining the likes of F1 drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Narain Karthikeyan who have also driven in the NASCAR Series. Meanwhile, here is what David Robertson had to say about Kimi’s NASCAR switch.
