Mark Webber to lose Red Bull F1 drive to Raikkonen?

The ongoing tussle for supremacy between Sebastien Vettel and Mark Webber in the Red Bull camp could well reach its climax sooner than expected. The buzz got even louder after last weekends race at Silverstone when both Red Bull drivers were involved in an on-track battle for second place. It is believed that the Ice Man might just make an F1 return by the next F1 season.
Mark Webber has been the #2 driver at the Red Bull pits since Sebastien Vettel silenced his critics by winning the championship last year. During the grand prix of Silverstone, Webber was gaining on Vettel after the extended pit stop which cost the reigning world champion the lead. Webber was faster that Vettel in the latter stages of the race and to avoid the brewing battle from turning the two RBR F1 cars to bits of carbon fibre, the RBR team ordered Webber to hold his position.

Webber though, had different things in mind and carried on with his pursuit. In the end however, he could pass Vettel. This had the Red Bull management fuming over the Australian driver. Now, Kimi Raikkonen has been away from the F1 scene for a couple of years now since he left Ferrari. Still, Kimi is sponsored by Red Bull at other events like WRC and Nascar. Kimi also has close personal ties with Sebastien Vettel and the RBR management.
The recent incidents could play against Webber and the Ice Man could well be on his way to make an F1 comeback. Now it is believed that Kimi Raikkonen could join Red Bull F1 for the 2012 season. The Finn has won the F1 world championship in 2007 and has 18 race wins under his belt with 16 pole positions. Kimi made his F1 debut at the Australian grand prix of 2001.

No way, Kimi said very adamantly he would only return if he was with a team and had a car he could win with, otherwise he is not interested. Being a no.2 driver and knowing he will have to pull over for vettel he won’t do it. So no way, he wont be interested.
The dumbest article ever.
