Michael Schumacher guns for the Podium in the 2011 F1 Championship!

Michael Schumacher managed three fourth place finishes last year and folks like Jacques Villeneuve came along to suggest that Michael Schumacher hang his boots and do something more worthwhile like race commentary of better still, go fishing. Er, no, I’ve always put my money on Micheal to come back and come back like the champion he always has been.

Shades of brilliance are now just beginning to emerge as Michael Schumacher cocked a snook at everybody questioning the fire inside the legend by going fastest at Barcelona testing. Ross Brawn was mighty pleased with Michael’s stellar lap times and Mercedes seems to be getting their 2011 F1 Mercedes W02 car up to scratch for the legend to be able to even gun for glory, just like the good ‘ol days.

Michael Schumacher even feels that he can gun right for the podium this year and coming from the legend himself, there shouldn’t be any reason to disbelieve what you just read. Alright, here’s Michael Schumacher talking about his and Team Mercedes’ prospects at the 2011 F1 Championship Season.

As a driver, you obviously hope for a good step forward and I think this is what we have achieved. I am confident that we can compete for podium finishes, and I am hopeful we can fight for victories at some of the races. Saying that, we will only see the truth once the season gets underway, so I can hardly wait to go to Melbourne to finally see what the real picture is.
