Valentino Rossi’s contractual obligations with erstwhile Fiat Yamaha has come to an end and here is the MotoGP legend, all smiles in Ducati Red colors. Dainese, the motorcycle leathers maker has remained with Rossi and still is making the red racing leathers for Rossi. While Rossi partnering Ducati will have his Italian fans over the roof, there seems to be a fly in the ointment as Rossi will still need time for his recently operated upon shoulder to fully heal. Here’s Rossi’s take on the Ducati and his shoulder.

The Ducati is a real prototype, very different from the Japanese motorcycles that I know.I t has to be ridden in a completely different way, but I’m sure we will be able to make it work. The shoulder is not as good as I had hoped, we need more time. I need five or six months recovery to be 100%, so around April or May is the most likely time.
