Renault F1′s Robert Kubica crashes during Rally Ronde di Andora

Robert Kubica, Renault F1′s no.1 driver today crashed at a rally event in Italy. Following the crash Kubica was airlifted to a hospital. According to theĀ Savona News, Kubica was conscious after the accident but was rushed to hospital with what they described as “several fractures”. Reports from Poland, suggest that he has multiple fractures to his wrist.
Kubica was driving a Skoda Fabia in the Super2000 category of the Rally Ronde di Andora when his car overturned. With the F1 testing just concluded, Renault would be hoping that their no.1 driver recovers from his injuries prior to the opening race of the 2011 F1 season.
