Sachin Tendulkar and Michael Schumacher at F1 Grand Prix of India: One God of cricket, other a God of racing!

Two greats of the sporting world came together yesterday along the side lines of the inaugural Indian GP. It was no less than a spectacle when the ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar met unarguably the best Formula 1 racers on the planet Michael Schumacher. F1 Grand Prix of India held at the new Buddh International Circuit brought these two stars of their own separate disciplines together and the Petronas Mercedes GP team has been kind enough to offer us a glimpse into what went on behind the scenes as we were stuck to our television screens back home.

Sachin Tendulkar came down to the track with his wife and daughter. As we all know, the Master blaster had a rare chance to wave the checkered flag at the end of the race. Sachin was among the VVIPs present at the track who also met our daredevils of speed. Along with Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh were also present. Bollywood stars also turned up for the event. Shahrukh Khan was there and so was Gulshan Grover, Deepika Padukone and Preeti Zinta.

Sachin had a candid chat with Schumacher before the race. The cricket maestro was also spotted chatting with Ross Brawn- Team Principle, Petronas Mercedes GP. Sachin loves racing and is fond of sports cars. He has owned a Ferrari 360 Modena which was gifted to him by Schumacher himself. Now he drives a Nissan GT-R. Both stars have met before back when Michael used to drive for Ferrari. Schumacher finished the race in fifth place after a dismal qualifying session earlier on Saturday. His team mate Nico Rosberg came in behind Schumacher in sixth.
