INTRODUCTION

My first car was Wagon-R LXI, I bought it in Feb-2005, my next car was Honda City-Zx CVT Automatic, I bought it in Jan-2007, and I drive both the cars myself.

MY OBSERVATIONS ABOUT THE MARUTI RITZ (LXI AND VXI)

On road Price offered to me on 27.01.2010 (Delhi)
Rs.4,16,000/- (approx.) for LXI
Rs.4,62,000/- (approx.) for VXI
Rs.5,22,000/- (approx.) for ZXI (Out of my budget)
with a discount of 7500/- on each model.

Price difference between LXI and VXI, 46,000/-
VXI model is fitted with Power Windows (front and rear), Central Locking without remote, Tachometer, Wheel Caps, and 4-5 sensors like Door, Key, Seat Belt reminder, etc.
Door handles and Rear View Mirrors are without body paint (cheap doings)
Central Locking without remote
No Music System
Drive Good
Dash Board Looks Good but quality of the plastic on doors poor, the guy told me not to compare it with the interiors of Honda city
Looks Good

In general 46,000/- for power windows, central locking and a tachometer in VXI as compared to LXI), ZXI was beyond my budget.

So with a nice Music System without which my wife cannot drive, VXI model will cost 4,62,00/- + 12,000/- (Music System) – 7,500/- (Discount) = 4,66,500/-

MY OBSERVATIONS ABOUT THE CHEVROLET BEAT

On road Price offered to me on 27.01.2010 (Delhi)
Rs.4,23,000/- (approx.) for Top Model
with no discount and long waiting

Front and Rear Power Windows
Music System (Integrated Blupunk Music System)
Central Locking without Remote
Climate Control Air Conditioner (Even Not present in my Honda City, available in Honda Civic)
State of the Art dash board, with Electronically displayed Air-Flow Direction
Blue lights emerging out of the Dash Board in the night remind me of Honda Civic
Rear Defogger and Washer
Excellent Interiors with good quality material
Looks like a heavy gauge metal sheet for the outer body as compared to Ritz
Manual Internally adjustable Rear View Mirrors
Battery Saver
Electronic Tachometer
Tilt Steering
Steering is more smooth as compared to Ritz-VXI
Sunglass Holder
Very beautiful Shiny Black Finish on the Dash Board and Doors
Body Colored Door Handles and Rear View Mirrors
They told me bumpers are impact proof (I’ve not tested it.)
Light in the boot area
Power Windows are more smooth as compared to Ritz-VXI
Very nicely packed Tools (Stepney Sized Tools Holder)
Smooth Drive

Dash Board is good but the Meter Panel is not so impressive.
Silver and Dark Grey Car Colors are not available (What a foolish thing!)
Looks like little compact from inside
Ritz’s tail light looks good as compared to Beat’s (In my personal view)

R E S U L T:
In my personal opinion Maruti Ritz is better looking as compared to Chevrolet Beat.

Martuti Ritz VXI is badly overpriced if you compare it with Ritz LXI

So if you are looking at Swift, A-Star, Ritz you must visit and see Chevrolet Beat once.

I have selected and booked Chevrolet Beat Top Model (LT without Options Pack) as my next 3rd Car on 29.01.2010

got ma beat white shade after 20days of waiting. d interior is gud.. pick up is awesome.. jus d gear shift lack some smoothness.. overall its a superb car for youngster lik me.. a VFM.. i rate it 4 out of 5

45 days and I am still waiting for my Beat LT to come.

I chose the wrong dealer – Regent Motors in New Delhi and now stuck with him. I am pretty sure the guy just hoodwinked me because the car prices were going to increase after excise.

I would have loved to take the Beat but seeing the dealers, I am a little worried about the after sales service. After all its these guys only who are going to service my car.

Would have switched to Polo but that already has a three month waiting.

Hey there, Congratulations on the car!
@sk: I like white cars. they look cool and crisp. However, the Beat hasn’t caught my fancy, sorry. The gear shift is notchy but will come through after your first service hopefully. Cheers!

A-star is Really awesome. wonderfull pickup,K-Series engine is really a powerful engine.Gear shifting is very very smooth and easy. i have gone upto 100 kmph and felt the car is steady. AC is too good.

Providing safety for its consumers like in all of its other cars, the company will also be providing the i-CATS (intelligent Computerised Anti-theft System) on all the variants of the Ritz as well.so ritz is better car in its hatch back model

Friends,I have purchaced Cheverolot Beat LS(white) a couple of months back, the perfomance is superb with its 16V DOHC engine. You can feel the smoothness after 60 km speed, but the initial pick up is a concern . The car is superb in its class in interior, styling and comfort. The car is well priced in its segment and is a better choice to A-star and i10. Its suspension is pretty good and the vechile is well balanced on it four wheels with suberb control on roads. You can feel the comfort on long drives and mileage with 16 to 17km/litre on highways is really good. I recomment this car if y

cHEVY BEAT IS AMAZING…… BUT THE ONLY VERY VERY BAD ABOUT IT IS , ITS MUSIC SYSTEM….. NO usb PORT PROVIDED… JUST A MINI USB PORT, THAT IS OF NO USE…… AND ON TOP OF THAT THE COMPANY IS DOING NOTHIN ABOUT IT…… I HEARD THAT COMPANIES DO LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE LAUNCHING THEIR CAR, BUT I FEEL THEY DIDNT DO IN THIS CASE…. ATLEAST NOW WHAT THEY CAN DO IS……… PROVIDE SOME CONNECTING WIRE, SO THAT WE CAN USE PENDRIVES IN OUR CAR……….

@siddharth u can buy a usb to mini usb converter and use ur pendrive…Doesnt cost u much,,,,

PPl how is de music player quality??? can i upgrade by putting a subwofer and a amp with the default player?? or shall i go with the middle variant? so that i can put my own music system?

Well, like to share my views on Chevy Beat. Recently i bought this car in Bangalore. Am really happy with it. It’s got BFI (Body Frame Integral Structure Body) which provides the highest safety in case of accidents from any direction. Normally, this type of body you get only on premium expensive sedans and SUVs. It is the first time, Chevy has introduced a Big car body on a smaller car like Beat.

One way of testing the quality of cars is to open the door, then shut it with full force. In Beat when you do that, the “Thud” sound you get tells you the strength of the body, whereas in Maruti and Hyundai cars the sound is different, indicating weak body.

Well, i bought this car from One Mr. Nikhil (99641 87956) who works for Trident Chevrolet. It was only when he showed me the above that i understood why Beat is good in comparison to other cars in themarket. They have the showroom at Kalyan Nagar in Bangalore.

Guys this is a superb car and the best for its price.it is our 1st car and it is sure the right one for us.we choosed it for these reasons:-
1)good mileage.highway-17kmpl,city-13-14 (depends on the traffic).my car has done 750 kms.
2)good power steering smooth like cream and powerful ac.
3)seating space.my brother is 6ft and he is comfortable with me 5.8ft at the back with lots of room at the back still.
3)looks.both the exterior and the blue lighted interiors… This car gathers attraction specially my green cocktail one in the crowd.
4)engine is good though not a race machine it is near silent at idle and between 1000-2000 rpm, though it vibrates after 5000 rpm but we dont push it that far,we love our car and take care that it is not stressed.
5)good service.i dont know about other cities but in jamshedpur narbehram motors has got a really great service.
6)best plastic quality in its class comparing ritz,i10,figo,indica vista.
7)well not a reason to buy but hey this car has been cast in the movie transformers2 as an autobot(skids) and it feels nice to think it that way.
Lastly before making mind for the beat have a test drive of it check the service quality of the showroom,go with your family for the seating and comfort.but if you buy it you wont be disappointed for sure.cheers.excuse me for my english i was writing it in haste.
