2012 Suzuki Swish 125 Automatic Scooter now available in showrooms; Priced at INR 45,431, ex-showroom Delhi!

Without much ado, Suzuki Motorcycle India has began shipping the Swish 125 automatic scooter to Suzuki showrooms across India. Interested buyers can now walk in to Suzuki showrooms for test rides, after which they may book the scooter. After a low key launch and price announcement at the 2012 Auto Expo, this stylish automatic scooter from the Suzuki stable features the same 125cc four stroke engine, that it has borrowed from the Access 125, which incidentally is the most powerful automatic scooter in India.The 125cc four stroke engine produces a peak power of 8.58 Bhp and a peak torque of 9 Nm.

This engine is mated to  CVT transmission that handles power and torque transmission to the rear wheel of the scooter. With those figures, performance will be quite perky, just like it has been on the Access 125. While the Access 125 looks bulbous from many angles, the Swish 125 is much more pleasing to look at and could be a hit amongst the younger buyers. By beginning the sales of the Swish 125 much before the originally scheduled March 2012 time period, Suzuki has pulled off a surprise here although no one will be complaining.

The Swish 125 will also take pressure off the Access 125, which until the Swish’s arrival was the solitary scooter offering from Suzuki, and was hence saddled with a long waiting period. Also, the Swish 125, like the Access, features telescopic front forks, which makes it a much better option for bad roads. A front disc brake though is yet to be made available on the Swish 125 and we might have to wait for a mid career refresh for that. Drum brakes handles stopping matters at both, the front and the rear. The 2012 Suzuki Swish 125 sells at a price of INR 45,431, ex-showroom Delhi. The next two wheeler launch from Suzuki in 2012 will be the Hayate 110 commuter motorcycle. An April launch is likely for the Hayate.
