BSA Motors India New Electric Scooters “Edge” & “Roamer Able”
BSA Motors launched its futirstic electric scooter ‘Edge’ at the just concluded Auto Expo 2010 at New Delhi. In addition to it, BSA Motors also showcased India’s first electric scooter for disabled persons - ‘Roamer Able’.

‘Edge’ has been priced very aggressively at INR 35500 and it comes in four trendy colours.
‘Roamer Able’ will be out on Indian roads by the end of January 2010 and is going to have a price tag of INR 35300. It is going to sport 4 exciting colours.
The Scooter has two Modes. In Power Mode, Roamer Able has a top speed of 40 km/hour and in economy mode, it can clock 25 km/hour. Its unique reversing feature makes parking easier for the differently-abled.
Roamer Able has a rear suspension which helps in a shock-proof & smoother ride. It also features a motor of 500 watts. Its reversing feature makes parking easier for the differently-abled persons and a rider can reverse the scooter with the help of one switch.
The company is claiming that the battery is maintenance free and takes around six to eight hours of recharge time.
“We now have 80 dealerships across eight states and we want to take to 200 dealerships in 15 states this year. And the customer response to our product is very positive. We are going to spread the base of dealership that we have,” said K B Srinivasan, VP, BSA Motors, Chennai.
“During 2010-11, we will invest Rs 50 crore and launch three new models of e-scooters. Of this, Rs 30 crore will go for market development and the rest for our work on motor controller technology and battery charging technology,” he added.
In the Indian Auto Expo 2010, BSA Motors also displayed its other vehicles like Smile, Diva, Street Rider, Roamer (NXG) and Roamer (NUO).

Dear Sir.
Nowadays most of us live in apartments.There is no facility in the parking space to charge the Battery.
The Ads give no details about procedures to charge the batteries.
