Idiotic Ad of the Year: TVS Wego Body Balance!
This has to be one of the most idiotic ad of the year. The unhelmeted women gyrating on the back seat of the TVS Wego Scooter is simply dangerous if not anything else. And it is all the more shocking as it is coming especially from a manufacturer of such high repute as TVS Motors Limited, which has always been promoting safe riding and that even runs a top racing team. Sorry TVS, we’re very disappointed and we hope the ad is taken off air quickly.

These days all ads of TVS have been idiotic. The reason may be the ad agency they have hired. Haven’t you seen the STAR ad where Dhoni rides the bike with a whole team on the motorcycle on the street. It is ridiculous for even Dhoni to be the party to such an irresponsible ad.
The ad is pathetic, what was TVS thinking. Girls doing some weird balancing act on the scooter, you can hardly get a good look at the scooter. The worst ad ever, way to start 2011 TVS.
This is the worst ad ever… at least the scooty pep campaign has some character. this ad is just a vulgar display of TVS’s desperation to attract eyeball on their strictly average WEGO…. Very sad to see TVS adpot such cheap tactic.
This has been one of the best ad done for any scooter in India as it does communicate the USP of the bike in a very subtle but sinking manner. A great entertaining ad with good connect with the brand. Great work done.
Sam, I think you are either working for TVS or their ad agency for sure. Stop seeding such comments. Indian consumers are very wise now and can understand all these tactics.
chill guys..!! stop cribbing… this ad is definitely good !! they hv worked on multimedia campaign..focusing on the body balance of the SCOOTER..!! overall the ad was good and music is outstanding.. and immature peoples ..pls stop watchin it!! am sure it`ll go over the head.. wooof!
Ha ha ha ….. I can sense another seeding there !!!! Neil must be the boss of Sam and Sam might have gone cribbing to him. Now the boss has come to justify what they have done and prove right what is essentially idiotic piece of work. If the ads are made not to watch then why you guys make them in first place. Anyway be haapy in fool’s paradise. :chic:
An ad should be either too gud or too bad for people to talk about it… So I think TVS has achieved what they wanted…
A bad ad for sure, but I am certain that 90% of the people who have seen that ad will connect Wego with body balancing
Guys,
It isn’t about how creative or non creative the ad is. It is the flagrant violation of safety measures like a basic helmet for protection that has piqued us here at ICB.
Cheers,
Jay
to be frank, i like this ad. funny bgm.
cute chik vs curly awesome, lol. but ill never this vehicle’s name
This is one of the most amusing automotive ads I have seen in a long time. I generally am not able to recall other bike/scooter ads, but this one stood out completely – a really creative effort!
no offence ..but i am sure all the guys who said this is the worst ad must have seen many time on TV and ll be wanting to see it till the end ..because its so catchy…
Why everybody is after this ad?? As if every Indian is using helmet and this single ad is going to give a big msg not to use helmets. Ridiculous :-X . We know that most of us don’t follow traffic safety rules. And we cant do a damn to it. Come on.. enjoy this beautifully made commercial. After a long time a delicious ad has come on television. CHEERS :-* ;-) :-)
very innovative ad.
After seeing pathetic Ads for Access 125, and the Mahindra Scooters. I Liked this Ad
I like this ad.
U think TVS is bad? what about Hero Honda? Always playing the Indian trump card. is it really Indian?
Love this ad. Its different from those boring Hero Honda ads. OP – you must be an old old man.
wow……very creative and a classy ad /people who did’nt like it don’t give ur bowels a uproar..go back in time an watch ads like nirma, surf, hamara bajaj, etc and be happy.
