It came out of nowhere, We are quite surprised, Mahindra launched the new scooter, Kine, without any media attention. Mahindra aims to reach out to the cheerful youths with this funky looking scooter. TVS be alert!! new competition in market!!

M&M Kine was once sold under Kinetic brand in the past. It was not very successful in those days though it looks quite promising now in the hands of Mahindra.

A 71.5 cc engine powers the scooter, giving 3.8 bhp at 5500 rpm and 5 Nm torque at 4500 rpm via a variomatic transmission that delivers the power to the wheels . Variomatic is the stepless, fully automatic transmission using a drive belt and two pulleys. It was the first continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The Kine scooty is primarily targeted towards the youths of age 18-25 years though it is also suitable for aged people who do not wish to drive geared bikes. The design of the scooter has been kept same except for few minor modifications. These minor tweaks include white colour console, new graphics, new exhaust and body coloured grab rail. Bike also features multi-reflector headlamps for better visibility at night, bigger under-seat space for keeping helmet or a bag.

The features justify the the price of the product and the new scooty is very competitive as “Scooty Teenz”, the prime competitor of this bike, is also priced around Rs. 30k and has a smaller engine with less power.

This is a good scooter with good mileage and cheap price compared to Honda Activa and Suzuki Access 125. I like Mahindra Kine very much

good scooter ,& price is ok compared to Honda Activa and Suzuki Access . I like Mahindra Kine very much, but why will be the seal hight, since i am very short. I was very eargly wating for short and puppy 2 wheeler.who can use who is short and old people. hope so it will work good,
