Piaggio Ape three wheeler pick ups belching black fumes and clattering away to gory, yes gory, are surefire candidates for my cussing. Why the hell is Piaggio selling this junk was what I used to think even as I spewed out some more curses at these eyesores. Piaggio used to and still makes one of the most classy looking scooters in the world, that we know by the name Vespa.

Right from the original Vespas to the Bajaj Cub, the Vespa has been an iconic design that forces you to take a second look even today. Shortly, Piaggio will bring some of it’s rich scooter making heritage straight to the land of the Gandhi.

By the end of 2012, we could have the Vespa LX125 hitting Indian streets. The Vespa LX125 will be made in a brand new Piaggio production plant that will be able to produce 150,000 two wheelers every year and the investments for the production facility have been approved by the Piaggio board.

The Vespa LX125, easily one of the most gorgeous looking scooters on roads today, will come with a 125cc four stroke CVT engine that produces a rorty 10.7 Bhp pf power and 9.6 Nm of torque.

Puttering around town with that decent power rating on the LX125 should be a real breeze. But, what the real thing will really do is, turn heads wherever you go riding on one. That’s an Italian scooter for you. The onus is now on you Piaggio.

    I have a VESPA 150 model scooter,1964 make and I am satisfy with my scooter and enjoying riding everyday.Can you tel me that Vespa scooter is available in 150cc segment in India?what is the price of your 125cc scooter?
    Please inform me when it will available in market,I ant to buy a new Vespa125cc or 150cc scooter.Thanking you in anticipation.

    I aloso liked vespa scooter its designe and style but wheter its automatic or gear shifting it is not clear. I am also waiting for the product.

    Vespa scooter launched in India from April,2012at 29 Cities.Mr. RaviChopra vespa chairman in India, announce in Car expo New Delhi on6th january,2012.
    But any body have any information about the scooter price,showroom at Kolkata? or booking contact. If any body have any information let me informed.

    I had a Bajaj scooter 1984 model. I used it for 19 years. The only difficulty with it was the unbalanced body. How is your new Vespa? Is it a balanced one. The shock absorbers gave me much trouble. Could you rectify those defects in the new vehicle. If it is a perfect one I prefer to buy one Vespa 125 LX. I am eagerly waiting for the launch. How long have I to wait in Kerala to see your new scooter?

    Welcome Vespa scooter in India. But the price Ex showroom (Rs.66000/-) of the scooter is beyond middle man’s capacity.
    Same 125 cc scooter available Rs.42000/-ex showroon.
    No showroom at Eastern India even in ” Kolkata “
